shop: hobby-genki.com...

Has anyone bought from Hobby Genki and can share their experience? I'm a little afraid since you have to pay upfront and they have duplicate comments from many accounts on Trustpilot

Hey Kiciakun!

I bought a nendoroid on this website for a friend! I received it quickly and without any problems! I was also able to contact customer service on twitter and discord, they are very active!
If I had to order another figurine, It’ll be on HobbyGenki!

Thank you for sharing. I decided to give them a shoot and pre-ordered a few figures, will update whatever was to happen.

I was recommended Hobby Genki on a Dragon Ball Figure forum after my nightmare with Nippon-Yasan.

I've used them twice for the SH Figuarts Bardock and First Form Frieza. I used EMS shipping and both shipped super fast. They where well packaged with plenty of bubble wrap and packing paper to fill the box and they seem the under value the figures on the shipping notice to avoid the customs tax.

I have since used them to pre-order my Sh Figuarts Burter, Hit and Cooler. If all things go well they will probably become my go to.

They are currently my new go-to for web exclusive SHFiguarts. Due to Golden Week things are on hold, but my orders with them are usually fulfilled quickly and I receive them pretty quick as well (to the UK, basic Airmail).

Prices are generally competitive, from product price to shipping. Availability is sometimes here or there, so you probably don't want to wait on ordering if it's something that would sell out too quick e.g. Metal Builds, Myth Cloths, etc. I have also ordered some Pokemon cards from them, which arrived quickly - those seem to sell out quicker than at other places (helps HG prices are usually lower too).

Downside is they do take payment upfront for pre-orders, which isn't ideal for all.

They have option to ship in stock orders out in a monthly batch or when you choose, just leave them a message. I hope they can update their site soon to allow users to combine or split orders, like CDJapan do (and the dreaded Nippon Yasan).

So far I am pleased to use them.

Anyone used this shop lately? I ordered hobby-genki.com... from them as I missed the cutoff on other sites. It released at the end of August and I haven't gotten a shipping confirmation. I just sent them an email asking about it.

I've used them for a bunch of my recent Dragon Ball SH figuarts and they have all shipped on time. You can also try messaging them on instagram. Although they are usually pretty good with replying as I emailed them the other day when I had an issue with one of my orders saying I hadn't paid and got a reply back 20 minutes later and it was all sorted.

Thanks for your fast reply! I just heard back from them saying they finally got it in stock today. Looks like I had nothing to worry about.

Just wondering if everything is still chill over at HG? I see the dumpster fire that is Nippon Yassan right now and it has me worried in general about ordering overseas from companies I haven't used yet. I'm fairly new to collecting figures but they seem to be the only ones currently selling some Japan exclusive nendoroids both in stock and pre-order.

Also if you want to undervalue stuff one the invoice, while they don't have dedicated "tool" for that (like Solaris for example) you can leave a comment about it when ordering or later on the order page.

On a side note:
I paid a "Pay later" order and instead of it automaticly marking it as "paid" it created a new separete paid order for that value with no item in it.
I reached out to HG and apparently it is correct and they later manualy "link" the new (empty) order with the old one to mark the old as paid.
Weird, but if it works, it's ok. ;p

Is this store any good for exclusive Anime figures?

Concerned it will get to when the figure gets released next August 2022 and be left without.

You normally need a proxy service for the figure but aside from Nin-Nin this store offers pay later.

I've only used them once, but I pre-ordered ITEM #1051746 which was limited + exclusive. It released on the 24th of Dec & arrived at my house 5 days later on the 29th. It was packaged well & arrived safe & sound! The only tiny complaint I could possibly have is I didn't get a shipping notification by email or anything, I just happened to check the status of my order & saw it was marked as shipped.

I have received 3 or 4 orders from them by now. All twisted wonderland exclusive nendoroids.
They all shipped quickly, were packed perfectly, and everything was well. I had to chenge my shipping address because I moved, and that was handled quickly and without issue. They are quick to reply to questions, both in the contact form and on Facebook. I messaged them once on Facebook with a question about a bonus on a figure (Neku from Twewy) and got a reply quickly.
I have quite a few more ongoing orders with them, most of them pre paid.
After the horror stories about NY, I decided to switch to pay later which they are now also offering, just in case. But so far, everything has been good.

I usualy buy there exclusive figures, and i recomend them.

They have very good customer service, they are always responsive. On instagram you can talk to them and solve things.
They solved a problem for me with MEDICOS and even gave me a replacement part. And when I didn't even buy from them, I had a problem with NIN-NIN, they helped me even though it wasn't their product, but Nin-nin gave me a great figure. But thanks to that, I know they are very good people, I don't think any company would do that.

Hope this can help somwone.

Have had enough of dealing with NNG.
