Etsy Bootleg Seller

Hello! I don't know if this deserves a thread of it's own but I wanted to ask if it's ever been made aware that Etsy, much alike Ebay, could be another platform to find bootleg sellers on? -because I definitely think it is!

An example would be this seller, MionvaShop. If you take a look at their listings, they all use promotional shots, the figure is listed "high quality", no mention of manufacturer or country of origin either. There are also photos that are shared in reviews where you can see the bad paint job, seam lines etc.. yet customers are convinced it's high quality and perfect! Instant 5 star rating.

I believe it can help to shed light and mention any bootleg seller, for newer or older figure collectors, in case they ever reside to using Etsy. I would like to hear your thoughts about this! :)

Hmm I guess I've never considered Etsy as a place to buy legit / licensed figures. I always assume all or most the figures are bootleg or custom made (i.e. unlicensed / garage kits).

Edit: if anyone uses Etsy to get licensed figures that would be interesting to know

I agree! It would interesting to know with how skeptical I am about these sellers despite how many sales and 4-5 star reviews there are. I’ll go ahead and compile a list of sellers I come by, and hear what users have to say about them. :)

Hmm. I guess my question was more if anyone has ever bought a licensed legit figure on Etsy before and if so which seller it was from rather than reviewing a specific list of sellers?

I guess I'm wondering - if it's true that pretty much all sellers on Etsy aren't legit, wouldn't it be easier to identify the legit sellers rather than list all bootleg sellers?
