Hi, friends! This week’s figure is from my second trip down the rabbit hole: Jibril!
“Oh yes... where are my manners, my name is Jibril. Pleased to make your acquaintance.”
~~~~~ ORIGIN ~~~~~
No Game No Life (NGNL) is a light novel by Kamiya Yuu. It’s the story of a brother/sister pair Sora & Shiro whose prowess at games made them legendary online despite their complete lack of real-world presence. When they’re transported into Disboard, a world where all matters including country borders are determined through games, the duo becomes the hope of the Imanity (human race)!
Jibril is a Flügel (“Wing” in German) - a race of angels. While they once collected heads, the banning of murder led them to seek knowledge instead, and Jibril has always had an especially insatiable appetite to learn.
~~~~~ FIGURE REVIEW ~~~~~
Jibril is a 1/4 scale figure from FREEing’s B-STYLE Line. As with Momo, my first thought when I received her was how massive she and her box were! The scale is truly impressive with details to match!
This is the original Jibril with the real fishnets typical of B-STYLE Bunnies, and it’s great to finally feel them in person! Her bunny suit is a glossy pink that compliments her hair well. Speaking of which, I absolutely adore the colorful gradients this series is known for!
Zooming in a bit, her lovely eyes have the crosses that differentiate hers from the other Exceed (races). Her halo was a bit tricky to position, but it is a nice accent to the figure and makes it more obvious that Jibril is an angel. To that effect, her ears are actually little wings, and she has the ones she uses for flight sprouting from her lower back - a bit unique, but it’s accurate to Jibril lol
I’ve saved the best for last: That pose! (*/∇\*)
View spoilerJibril rests on all fours with a highly seductive glance and a playful finger to her mouth. Her hips are raised to the sky she came from and oh my... that booty is divine! Her chest is also large enough to support her upper body off the ground - I actually feel this part was exaggerated somewhat, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
As with Momo, she’s very juicy down here as well~
~~~~~ PERSONAL COMMENTS ~~~~~
My two favorite NGNL characters thus far after watching the anime and starting the light novels of that part are Steph and Jibril. I actually didn’t want to choose between them and ordered a non-bunny Steph as well, but she got lost in transit. Such a Steph! I’m sure she’ll make it one of these days, though. 。゚(TヮT)゚。
Despite this, Jibril is an extremely close second for me - I just love how excited she gets when presented with an opportunity to gain the knowledge she’s so passionate about! o(≧∇≦o)
And this figure certainly as some nice assets as well (*´∀`*)
That’s all for now! Thank you for reading my Figure Mini-Review! I would love to hear what you think! ^_^
Agreed 100%! (*•̀ᴗ•́*)و ̑̑
It definitely has some aspects I've seen that put certain people off, but I'd highly recommend it as a fun experience!
Writing reviews is a good way to share one’s preferred series. Contemplating a nice figure can lead to discovering a new show/manga/light novel. Indeed, I watched Date A Live after I had seen Tohka on a figure shop website. Now, like you, I write reviews to share my interest.
Ah, thank you! (。´∀`)ノ
I love my Jibril and Momo so much. He’ll love them if he can afford the prices, space, and very real chance of getting more than one ( ´艸`)
Thanks for the review! It allows me to discover some details I would never have noticed (the crosses in the eyes for instance). Maybe I will watch NGNL or read it because I like the characters’ design very much.
Thanks! I like discovering series from seeing people's figures, so I wanted to share in a way that encourages that process :)
Thank you! Kinda same - I only got around to watching the anime late last year/early this year, and darn it I just had to accept the aftermarket kind of prices for these beauties ㅠㅡㅠ
