Back in 2015, when I got my very first Nendoroid, I had no idea that my collection would grow into this... monster! But I'm both thrilled and proud of how far I've come. Of course, it's also a little scary to think about what the future holds and where this hobby might take me. But for now, I'm just living in the moment, one step at a time. I save a little and spend a little more to make up for all those void years. For me, collecting Nendoroids is therapeutic, like how some people get their dopamine rush from sports. It connects me with my inner child, and everyone has their own reason for buying them, right? But, some days I feel like Linda Belcher from Bob's Burgers (www.youtube.com...) although I don't kiss 'em!
Anyway, my rudstas have been filled at a very fast pace since I started and I wanted to know how much it's increased from year 1 to year 2.
Let's see, here's my collection at the end of 2021 (year 1):
I got the first two: ITEM #248135 and ITEM #296453 in 2015 and 2016 so I'm showing them but not counting them.
I received 122 Nendoroids.
The median price was around 37€
Shipping was around 3.12€ per figure
Customs numbered about roughly 6€
Well, it turns out that I lucked out with shipping costs since only 76 Nendoroids were bought in Spain. I mostly relied on local shops like Mega Otaku and Global Freaks, but I also used a classifieds app for second-hand purchases. For international orders, I went with AmiAmi, as I had known them since 2015. I also found a great source of Nendoroids on Mandarake, from which I acquired 34 of them. Although I don't visit their site anymore, since the re-releasing figures have been kind to my wallet.
Aaand as a curiosity, the gender ratio was 68 males vs 54 females
My collection at the end of 2022 (year 2) looked like this:
I received 172 Nendoroids
Price went down a euro (yay!)
Shipping took 4.66€ per figure (very acceptable)
Customs went up to 10.94€ (that's 30% of their price, VAT was supposed to be 21% in Spain)
I also sold 2 figures (ITEM #146620 and my second ITEM #197994)
61 Nendoroids were purchased from local shops, mostly from Global Freaks but also from BlueStarImport, and I even managed to get 2 from MFC, despite being a bit apprehensive at first. But it all worked out in the end, and the sellers were fantastic. As for the rest, I went straight to the source and imported 109 from Japan - 39 from Mandarake, 38 from Hobby Genki, 31 from AmiAmi, and 1 from TOM.
The gender ratio this time had a different result: 98 females vs 76 males
Now, in 2023 I've received a few packages from the Holiday's Inferno that might've been post offices from every corner.
As you can see, we are 19 days into the new year and I got more Nendoroids than days have been! Every day is Christmas!
I received 35 Nendoroids
Price skyrocketed to 40.79€ per Nendoroid (inflation that much!?)
Shipping deflated some cents to 4.5€
Customs went down to 4.62€ (eureka!)
I also sold 2 (ITEM #674103 and ITEM #674106)
And I gave ITEM #650052 to a dear friend of mine as a present.
21 Nendoroids came from Hobby Genki, 9 from AmiAmi (my last package with them), and 5 from my local shop Global Freaks.
The gender ratio left me with a question and because I'm not sure which one assigns to ITEM #1509416 I added a new classification: 24 males - 10 females - 1 unknown
What's next?
Those are my pre-orders. It looks like this year I'm gonna break the 172 mark, and GSC hasn't announced all their 2023 releases. I'm kinda preoccupied with the inflation, Snow Mikus used to have more accessories for way less and now their price and exclusivity are a reflection of a dark future for us collectors.

I untagged every Nendoroid but...I'll you give you a heads on: I'm planning on taking photos of my full collection so be prepared hehe
lol, well most of the time I am subs. to the images, to get the newest images, but forget to unsub. so it is somewhat helpful, to get these notifications, so I can turn them off, If i dont want anymore (although I often can not be arsed lol)
I really love nendoroids too (though I don't have as many as you haha).
In the beginning I didn't really like them, but as they released more nendoroids of characters I really liked I find myself enjoying them very much as of late.
I do remember paying only like 40 euro's for a nendoroid and thinking that was a lot. Now I'm even seeing nendoroids for over the 100 euro's with like zero accessories...How times have changed.
Prices are insane right now and the figures come with less things. I get that inflation works both ways and materials might be taxed differently now (we should reduce plastic usage) but we are talking a huge difference within months. I'm lucky to have a good job but when I started I almost couldn't afford my first Nendo, I can only imagine how hard it's gonna be for future Nendo lovers out there

So... if someone tags a figure in their pics you get an automatic notification? Have you subscribe to every Nendoroid entry that's gonna come out eventually in the future? How can you live with the new comments on every figure you're following, isn't it stressful?

All displayed but I've run out of space and I'm thinking about making a different kind of risers to add a fourth row for each shelf. Is that or buying 4 more rudsta and putting them upside down over the ones I have, but I'm scare if it doesn't work. Don't want to wake up to the sound of glass craking and my babies demolised.
PS, when I was trying to find the ones that "got away" I had a hard time too because I could only rely in my knowledge of them and then I thought about tagging them but it won't be the same. Sorry for trickyng you >__<
I see a lot of Pokemon Nendoroids, gee I gave up on them (but Lily) because I was late to the party but gosh, aint you lucky! n_n
I also love how you checked the gender ratio. I thought I was the only who did that with my collection lol.
Thanks! I've focused only in Nendoroids because even when they portray videogame characters or Disney stuff, there's a common thread between them. If I had a few scales with different styles and proportions I'll be very discomfort, in fact my very first figures were trading arts like ITEM #3914 , ITEM #3916, ITEM #8015 , ITEM #6833 and ITEM #1757 that I'm not even listing here because, I don't know where to put them >_<
That aside, I have my hopes on getting re-releases of a few grails of mine but, if they don't come out I'll get them from Mandarake or second hand... who knows. (Please GSC re-realese ITEM #218618 and all the other Card Captor Nendos T_T)
And, the important part. Who doesn't keep a record of gender ratio nowadays lol? I'm not sure of how it started but I always tried to keep it balanced, although there were months with only one gender figures arriving and it made those packages a new experience on its own. I think for now, I have a bit more males than females, and there are a few cases of non-binary or no-gender like ITEM #806031 or ITEM #1545615
