My second blog post! I'm not too sure if I'm using the Loot category correctly. I mean, I'm fairly certain its a category for showing off a bunch of stuff you bought, but it seems everyone under this category is showing off, like, 20-30+ items in one post, whereas today, I'm only showing... 6 things...
The introduction contains my personal experience on Amikon, unrelated to the things I bought. If that means I gotta change the category to Diary or Misc, I'll do that.
Moving on!
My thoughts on Amikon '23 (introduction)
Before I start, let me just quickly say my thoughts on Amikon '23. If you're not aware, it's an anime convention in Ireland. This is the first time in 4 years that it has happened!
There was only a bit over 200 people attending, but there were some lovely people here! I spent around €125 on people's booths.
There was a cosplay competition, and the winners was someone in a Bowser cosplay, and someone in a Yuri (DDLC) cosplay. Everyone there had amazing cosplays! I didn't get the chance to cosplay myself (I never have cosplayed, actually!) but I'd love to some other time..
There were also a few people in fursuits, they were really cute! My first time seeing fursuits IRL, to be honest.
I only got the Saturday ticket, so I didn't get to go there on Sunday, which is upsetting, but I'm busy on Sunday anyway, so...
Okay, moving on before I ramble on too much...

Item #5
Next, I bought ITEM #1618453 from a booth with a ton of anime figures and prints and stuff, conveniently named Mikan's Otaku Goods.
I've been looking at KAngel's figure for a while now, so when I saw it IRL for €60 I had to buy it!
There was quite a few issues with buying it though, I was trying to use my card on their friends' card machine since the seller didn't have one, and it kept failing for some reason? I had the money, but on my phone it kept telling me "Merchant is not supported" which was strange.. but anyway, I paid for it via PayPal in the end, so it was all good.
The figure itself is amazing, though! Here she is on my shelf! :D

In regards to my first blog BLOG #58767 , I'm still trying to get shelves and stuff to display my figures better, so when I do that, I'll definitely move her somewhere that isn't so... messy.
Item #6
Finally, I bought this really cool hand-crafted Undertale memorabilia, made by MeMyselfAndMisha* !
*Link goes to their official website
There was a huge framed one for €40, but I wanted the small version, which was €10 - €15 iirc? Here it is!

That was everything I got! Not important to note, but I did go to their maid café after the cosplay competition, and ordered a hot chocolate, and a curry-flavoured ramen, which I... slightly spilt on my phone. I dried it up, obviously. Overall, it was really fun, and I'd definitely go again if it's on next year! And maybe next year I can go for both days, too ...
Thanks for reading!
Bonus
View spoilerI love to do a bonus part in all my blog posts hehe, its pretty fun to put an extra bit of content in.
Before I went to the con, I was getting a bag so I could put stuff I bought in it, and I thought, why not bring my DS? Maybe I could get a StreetPass... Does anybody remember StreetPasses on the 3DS?
I brought this idea up to my friend, and he said...
no one’s gonna have a ds ☠️
And guess what? He was wrong. Not only did I get a StreetPass at the con, I got TWO STREETPASSES!! TAKE THAT!! (respectfully)
I also played some Taiko on my DS in the games area while I was taking a break... it was fun!
That's all, byebye!!

I'm pretty sure it's an updated and more recent version of the one listed on MFC
edit: you're right, it's not the same, i've removed it from the article as it may be a bootleg D:
