Im so sorry, thats a crazy amount of money all gone :(( its a bit like the kozuguru/wizardry foundry situation where they didnt offer refunds and just left all buyers in the dust.

I feel for anyone who put their trust into their shop and lost their money. The whole time I was reading this I was thinking to myself that at least I never ordered from them, but then realized I DID order from them back in 2021. It took 13 months to get my two figures but I did get them. Too scary though. I used to order from Nippon-Yasan all the time too, but read a really fucked up story about something they did to screw over a customer trying to do a return while I had an active preorder. When it came time to pay (despite the figures still being severely delayed) I did the unthinkable and ignored them. Turned out my gut feeling was right and they disappeared taking everyone's money with them soon after.

I used PayPal, and actually just got off the phone with them…they said because there’s been multiple reports to them about Connexe Toys, that they’re able to offer PayPal credit, like it stays in your PayPal account and can be used via PayPal but you can’t transfer it to your bank. Not the preferred way of getting money back, but hey at least it’s something! This whole situation is sucky…Well still WAY better than losing it all. Maybe you can use that credit to replace your lost pre-orders by purchasing from another shop?

I saw a user mentioned if u used partially to pay for your preorder at connexe, there’s a possibility that u can get ur money refunded. Just contact them

The fact I didn't even get an email from them about them shutting down really makes this even worse on my end haha....fingers crossed PayPal will figure out a way to get my funds back, and guess I'll only be sticking with AmiAmi and GoodSmile from now on :/

Connexe was another shop that required upfront payments for pre-orders. With this constantly happening, why would anyone want to shop at a place that requires upfront payment? Its way too risky.
I'm a regular shopper at Tokyo Otaku Mode, and I always try my best to pre-order items that fall within Paypal's 6 month window, but due to delays sometimes, that doesn't always work.
Does anyone know how long Connexe was in business before going under?

Connexe's initial filing date for its business is 12/19/2012.
