So I got the Thailand Miku figure and I was wondering if she was authentic, since some were unsure due to the price and red flags, but I'm 99% she's authentic :

Don't know if this is the correct place, but I'm looking to buy this Holo figure, and was wondering if there are any tell signs, to determine if it is bootleg. The guy has the box n everything so it looks real, but wanna check.

If that's still interesting. I believe she is real.
The brand name is often under the base

I cant see your pic but i suppose you mean
PICTURE #3623499
which would be
ITEM #264970
you can compare it to the other user pics, especially if you have the box. Other peoples figure has smoother skin /paint as far as i can tell from the picture. Does your figure have the code on the back
PICTURE #1256664
? There are also pictures of the bootleg
PICTURE #2011301
which looks a lot like yours.

Ah yes you're right, i forgot about those.
If i recall there was also a person on MFC trying to sell them. I am also not sure if those count as bootleg, the sites rules doesn't seem to capture them

Personally i would say, they are neither. Not a bootleg perse, but not official either, as they were not really released due to their quality, if that makes sense? Maybe it's just called a defective/ flawed copy?
I guess the best thing to compare them with is like people selling those defective bodies for which they have received a non defective replacement. When they send you a new body but not a box or accessories so you are left with 1 defective part which can be sold for a lower price. Except they're usually complete. A good example is this revy perhaps:

late reply but I'm 99% sure I know where that bunny was bought. There is 1 seller on TaoBao/ali whatever, same person. He sells stuff from FREEing's factory which most likely didn't pass QC or was left over I suppose. Always without a box and usually some assembly is required. They are genuine FREEing figures but on the other hand, I guess they aren't? What does one classify this kind of thing under anyway. It's not really a bootleg since it's the official figure from the FREEing factory but it didn't leave the factory through the official route so what does that make it?

Yes this is also a possibility it can be either a changed figure (hence the reason why the head goes off) with changed paint or as i said just a bad quality figure. Is it the same black base with glitter? Then it seems to be legit, the rest looks real too.
Alieexpress has genuine figures but it depends on the seller.
