for collector relevancy. Seems like an oddly 'historic' moment in the collecting community for the detolf to be discontinued.

There is a lot of art made by the same artist involving this sculpture.
Also

is one that shares the same roots. So I do think there are more drawings for this figure made. And maybe multiple prototypes.
Ya, I have every figure of her ever made. It was for sure the Alice outfit I was thinking of though and this figure in specific. There are lots of illustrations that Koi has done with the Alice outfit, so if I am remembering correctly it was most likely based on one of the other ones. Although, I think I'm just misremembering things since it's been like 9 years.

It was a completely different pose from the source art from what I remember. But at this point I think I might be confusing a figure that had completely different original prototype with this figure that just didn't have the watch.

I found the answer on this mystery. The original art had indeed a bit different pose and a watch prominent on the surface. However the prototype itself is matching the figure made.

Thanks for the post!
From the sound of it, I'm wondering if maybe it 'morphed' into the figure that was released. Possibly some redesign in between the concept art and the unpainted prototype?
Do any others here have any thoughts or any suggestions on where to look for more info?

I have a research request for this club. I'm almost positive that
ITEM #236369
originally had another (unpainted I think) protoype that included a watch and a very different pose (didn't just include watch like the source illustration), but I can't find it anywhere. I might be remembering it wrong or confusing it with another figure since it's been so many years, but I can't get it out of my head. lol
Any assistance would be appreciated. I looked into the event that the figure was announced at in 2014 (WF2014S) and it was just an outline image. Then I looked into the event where the thumbnail was changed (WF2016W) and it was an unpainted prototype of what was actually released so it would have most likely came out somewhere in between there.
when this posted i went on a little hunt because it sounds intriguing about a missing prototype of a figure exisiting out there.
i started with direct searches of wonder festival reports that included aquamarine. 2014 only yielded the concept art and the 2016 only yielded the prototype of the completed figure that was released.
chino wasnt available at 2015 wonderfestivals at all too my knowledge, however there are so many smaller scale figure events, a photo might have surfaced from a very, VERY early prototype from a post july 2014 event. i tried various keyword searched but i only recieved whats known today.
it could have also been an original sculpt from a circle/sculptor, however who knows lol.
